1.Group Lessons are held at the Hidenwood Presbyterian Church in the Music Room. Group lessons allow students to work alongside others who share common repertory, musical skills, and aspirations. Social interaction and the opportunity to play as a group are important features that make private lessons productive and satisfying. Group Lesson attendance is expected in the same way that attendance is expected at the private lessons. The Group Lesson times are as follows: Times are subject to change.

Group 1: 3:30pm to 4:15pm. Group 2: 4:30pm. to 5:30pm.

Group 3: 5:30pm. to 6:30pm. Group 4: 6:30pm. to 7:30pm.

2.STAHR Events in Brackets [ ] are encouraged, but not mandatory. They are sponsored by theSuzuki Teachers Association of Hampton Roads (STAHR). Participants must pay an annual $20 annual membership fee to participate free of charge. Non members may participate for $10 per event.

3.Dress Rehearsals are for the individual students to rehearse their solo piece with piano accompaniment, and are held the week of the recital. Students are expected have their piece polished & memorized prior to attending their dress rehearsal. Students only need to attend one (1) day of dress rehearsal. A Sign up sheet will be available for the Dress Rehearsals.

4.Suzuki Violin Workshop is a 2 day event sponsored by STAHR and is held annually. This year it will be

held in Newport News. Participants must register and pay a fee. STAHR members receive a discount.

5.Elliott Studio Young Artist Showcase is a special "Young Artist Showcase" performance of students

from the Elliott Violin Studio. The performance is at the Ferguson Performing Arts Center in Newport News. This is a great opportunity to showcase your special talents!! Arrive by 6:00pm. Rehearsals for this event are required. See the rehearsal schedule.
